The Friday just gone saw the launch of Timberland’s new sustainable venture, Timberloop, a project that aims to further reduce the impact the effect the brand has on the planet.

The new initiative, which was announced in celebration of Earth Day, included the release of the new Timberloop Trekker, a pair that offers a sneaker feel with the security of a boot. As for the environmental benefit, the footwear features a unique sole construction whereby the outsole can be easily removed and disassembled for recycling at the Timberloop take-back facility.

In addition to its unique sole construction, the Timberloop Trekker features a removable inner bootie made of 100% recycled plastic ReBOTL fabric, which is integrated into the shoe through the lacing system for easy disassembly and recycling.

Take a look at the Timberloop Trekker below. If you like what you see then sit tight as the pair are available now via the brand’s online store.
