The Tokyo-based clothing brand, NEIGHBORHOOD, has been the latest partner of Dr. Martens. Specifically, the label, which was founded in 1994 by Shinsuke Takizawagrown, is responsible for two new collaborative footwear offerings.
The two pieces of footwear reflect Neighborhood’s punk aesthetic, an aesthetic which Dr. Martens is also renowned for. To be precise, Dr. Marten’s latest collaboration has been hand-crafted in their Wollaston factory from smooth black leather. Consequently, the 2976 NEIGHBORHOOD and 1461 NEIGHBORHOOD rock Takizawagrown’s signature blacked-out style. Contrasting this is Dr. Marten’s trademark yellow welt-stitch, a dual-branded reflective heel strip as well as splatters of white paint across the uppers.
Take a look at the Dr. Martens x NEIGHBORHOOD collaboration below. If you like what you see then you’re in luck as the collection is set to drop on the 4th of December via Dr. Marten’s online store and physical outlets.
