The American sports footwear and apparel brand that is New Balance have been continuing to catch sneakerheads attention. Well, yet again they are back, this time with an easy-on-the-eye revamp of the 550 silhouette.
As for what to expect, the New Balance 550 is arriving in various university-team colours, maybe most notably of the three iterations is the “UNC” colourway. Similarly to what we saw with Nike’s take on the Uni colour, NB have focused on a clean white and pastel blue combination.
Consequently, a white base coat can be seen across premium leather uppers, on top of which sits a layered “N” that relies on a blue outline for its visibility. Further blue accents can be seen dotted around the pair, for example, on the ankle collar, tongue and outsole. Last but not least, black details can be found on the heel midsole as well as the centre outsole.
