This autumn has seen the American sportswear and lifestyle brand, Champion, debut their Contemporary Heritage collection. Not only does the range of offerings give us an updated look at some of their classics, but does so in a more environmental-friendly way.
Specifically, the Contemporary Heritage collection consists of pieces that have stood the test of time, as well as a few that have fallen off and have been adjusted appropriately. Having said that, all of the items have remained consistent with the aesthetic values that have now become synonymous with Champion.
For example, historical elements from the brand’s archives have been reworked to create something entirely new, while the traditional Champion branding from the 1920s has been left as is. Design cues explore signature aesthetics, referencing classic heritage sportswear with a more considered material selection. Last but not least the collection is rounded off with utilitarian padding and impressive cut & sew techniques.
