Vans have announced they will be teaming up with legendary Berlin-based skate brand, Civilist, for a new footwear collection. The brands have also teamed up with artist, Carsten Fock; who helped design one of the shoes.

The collection consists of three colourways of the Vans Sk8-Low silhouette and are an ode to Civilist’s Berlin roots. Fock is renowned for his graphics and paintings; his pencil-drawn letters are embroidered and printed on the Sk8-Low. Each shoe features the phrase, “Say Goodbye to the City” embroidered on the sidewall, while “Back to the Roots” is printed on the sockliner and “I once was in Berlin” covers the shoebox. Two contrasting black and white colourways, the latter being a Civilist exclusive, sit alongside a tonal navy colourway.

The Vans x Civilist collection will be available from the Civilist Website on Thursday 29th July and globally at select skate retailers on Friday 30th July. You can check out the full collection below.
