Ever since the sneaker was spotted months back, sneakerheads have been waiting for Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 “University Gold” to hit the shelves.
Well, with spring coming to an end, what better time is there than now to find out more regarding the summer-suitable pair. As for what to expect, the “University Gold” Air Force 1 is almost entirely covered in a stark yellow. Contrasting this is the metallic silver Swoosh, the visible black stitching that holds it on, as well as Virgil’s trademark text that it covers up.
Additionally, expect tongues boasting an exposed foam construction as well as co-branded details found on the insoles. Rounding off the pair is a yellow plastic zip tie hanging from the laces.
You can take a look at the official imagery for the Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 “University Gold” below. If you like what you see then sit tight as the pair’s release is expected to correspond with the opening of Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibit at ICA Boston. The date of this exhibition is the 3rd of July, although it hasn’t been confirmed that the sneaker will release then so make sure you sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know for sure.
