The American singer-songwriter that is Donna Missal first created an acapella version of ‘sex is good (but have you tried)’ in the confines of her bedroom earlier this year in quarantine.
After seeing the potential for the track, she sent her work to UK producer Sega Bodega. With the beginning of the track done, Missal shared a snippet of it on TikTok. The positive reception motivated both Donna and Sega to finished the track. Consequently, we now have a modern, playful ode to self-love. In its final form, ‘sex is good (but have you tried)’ boasts Bodega’s signature vocal effect, a danceable-yet-raw electronic sound and conscious lyrics from Donna.
