Contemporary artist, Ces McCully, is releasing a new limited-edition print entitled, HELP IM BORED. The print will be limited to 50 copies and each one features 11 silk screen printed colours on Somerset satin 410gsm paper.
McCully was born in Melbourne Australia but, currently works from her studio in France. She is known for creating minimalist, abstract and geometric paintings, inspired by both autobiographical and societal elements. These prints have been inspired by McCully’s last year spent in lockdown.
When asked about the prints, Ces said, “For me, this piece operates on many levels. It speaks to the lockdown experience (particularly for the struggling extroverts), but also to the restlessness of feeling your life or relationship is stagnating, or to those of us who struggle to be alone and need someone to rescue us from our thoughts, or to our shortening attention spans due to technology and the fact that most of us can’t be bored for more than a minute anymore without pulling out our phone.”
Each HELP I’M BORED print will cost £250 and will be made available to purchase on 25th March 2021; exclusively from the RHODES edition Website. You can check the print below and be sure to subscribe to our newsletter, to never miss a drop date again.
