Vault by Vans and Designer Taka Hayashi have joined forces to bring us two new variations of two archival styles: The OG Style 24 LX and OG Style 47 LX. The shoes designs take inspiration from the early days of Formula One racing giving them a retro feel.
The high top styled, OG Style 24 LX, feature full canvas uppers, a textured rubber toe cap, and contrast piping and lace guard. The design on the canvas upper stems from Taka’s own interoperation of the F1 checkerboard flag and finishing line. Similarly, the Vans detailing on the shoe draws inspiration from the classic Formula One team jackets. The OG Style 24 LX is offered in two colourways; canvas Checkerboard/classic white/black and canvas Checkerboard/classic white/true white.
For the slip-on OG Style 47 LX, canvas uppers, a quilted vamp and contrasting heel stripes reimagine car racing suits of the ’70s. The shoe comes in two colourways; both featuring contrast piping. The Baja blue colourway features white heel stripes, while the Raven colourway features a gold heel stripe.
The Vaults by Vans X Taka Hayashi collaboration OG Style 24 LX will be available beginning February 26, 2021, followed by the OG Style 47 LX on March 1, 2021. Both shoes will be available from the Vans Website.
