Just yesterday, Jeff Darko dropped his debut single, ‘Follow You.’
Born in Ghana and raised in France and the UK, Jeff has plenty of sounds and inspirations fueling him. Consequently, he jumped at the chance to record his debut album when he was able to do so. Working on a new genre of music: ‘Psychedelic Gospel,’ Jeff has shown that he’s happy to push some boundaries.
The genre fuses the original meaning of psychedelic (to reveal one’s soul) with ‘Gospel’ (the origination of Soul music popularised in the early 50s and 60s.) As you can imagine, this genre relies on the artist to be open and vulnerable, two things Jeff has been on his latest track. Specifically, ‘Follow You’ is about finding guidance and love “from a woman, but also God’s to help and direct me. It’s about looking for a relationship from the point of being lost” says Jeff.
