The American designer, entrepreneur, and DJ that is Virgil Abloh has been behind some of the most hyped sneakers in recent years. Whether you’re a fan or not, it’s undeniable that Virgil has been selling more Nike sneakers than most collaborators of the sportswear brand. Not only this, but it seems like Virgil doesn’t want to stop the Nike team-ups anytime soon.
As for what makes us say that, rumours online state that the Off-White™ x Nike Dunk Low are set to arrive in a set of “Black” colourways next year. Although most sneakers from the duo have arrived in colour combos such as “University Red” and “University Gold,” the Instagram-based sneaker-leakers PY_RATES, reported that the two want to take things in a different direction.
The supposed models boast an all-black look, and it appears that with this new aesthetic comes a new focus on the construction, opting to use a unique combination of new textiles. The shoes are expected to provide a textured touch while maintaining the various extra design cues that Virgil has implemented in the past. For example, expect an exposed tongue and a double lacing system, as well as a trail-inspired set of Flywire cord laces.
