Skateboarding giant, VANS, has launched their new ‘FOOT THE BILL’ programme in the UK and Europe. The scheme aims to help independent skateboarding businesses, during the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) lockdown, which has put them at risk of closing down.

The scheme is currently supporting three UK based skate shops; SLAM CITY SKATES, WELCOME SKATE STORE and BLACK SHEEP SKATE SHOP. The program allows people to support the shops by using their custom graphics on the VANS CUSTOM system. The net proceeds from the sale of each pair will go directly to the respective skate shops in order to provide some relief during this time.

Steve Van Doren, son of Vans’ founder and Vans’ Vice President of Events and Promotions said, “We were once a small business and wouldn’t be where we are today without the support of these partners. We hope to rally together with our consumers to lend a helping hand to those that are in need”.

The programme is now live and will expand across Europe to include additional independent skate shops over the next month.
