After first making its way to the market back in the year 1960, Dr. Martens‘ 1460 boot has taken the world of functional-yet-fashionable shoes by storm. As a pair that was intended as a workman’s boot, the silhouette has undeniably attracted more attention than was first expected, even becoming somewhat of a Punk must-have.

Due to the silhouette’s success, it only seems right that the English brand celebrates it’s 60th year with a worthy revamp, hence why they have teamed with the Japanese streetwear brand, BAPE, to do the job.

As for what the duo have produced, the collaborative pair turns to the iconic camo that has become so synonymous with the Nigo-founded label. As well as this, BAPE’s Star branding appears on the lateral sides while Dr. Martens’ lands on the heel tabs and zippers.

Take a look at the Dr. Martens x BAPE 1460 below, if you like what you see then you’re in luck as the pair are set to drop via Dr. Martens’ online store and select flagships on the 25th of January. Furthermore, to carry on the celebrations Dr. Martens has lined up another 11 collabs for the model so stay tuned.
