The American singer, songwriter, record producer, and former professional basketball player that is R Kelly was just recently arrested once again on child pornography and federal sex trafficking charges, a consequence of former enablers and ex-employees turning on him.
Specifically, the R&B artist was arrested on Thursday by New York police sent from the Department of Homeland Security. As for why, what is believed to be around 20 videos of Kelly having sex with underage girls were handed to law enforcement, coming from a former-enabler of the paedophile.
To be more precise, a spokesperson for the US Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of Illinois, Joseph D. Fitzpatrick, confirmed that Kelly had been arrested on a 13-count indictment including “charges of child pornography, enticement of a minor, and obstruction of justice.”
A representative of various families’, Gerald Griggs, stated that the tapes “were exactly what the feds needed to secure indictments for sex crimes, including child pornography.”
When it comes to R. Kelly’s response, his team stated: “He and his lawyers look forward to his day in court, to the truth coming out and to his vindication from what has been an unprecedented assault by others for their own personal gain.”
