Yet again, EA are readying themselves for the release of the next instalment of their renowned football-focused game, and lucky for us, details of this year’s version have finally been shared in a new 2-minute trailer.
As for what to expect, the teaser sees the game seemingly prioritize a new feature titled “VOLTA”, a venture that seems like a revamp of the company’s past venture, FIFA Street, a street-football inspired series of games that last released in 2012. Specifically, the mode will allow you to “build your player, pick your gear, and express your style in football playgrounds all over the world.”
The new gameplay mode will offer a range of customization options, as well as the ability to play 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5, along with a “Professional Futsal” setting. There will also be a special VOLTA Story Mode, that ends with a VOLTA World Championship set in Buenos Aires. As well as this, the game’s football physics have been enhanced, allowing for better control over set pieces, tackles and more.
