After the Swedish musician, DJ, remixer and record producer that is Avicii tragically passed away this time last year, friends, family and fans all around the world mourned his death while tributes to the artist’s life and work flooded the net.
However, now it looks like we can expect some more original work from the late creative himself as Avicci’s team stated that the family of the deceased decided not to keep his music “locked away — instead they wanted to share it with his fans all around the world.”
As for what to expect, the soon to be released tracks will arrive in the form of a new album titled ‘TIM’. Specifically, the posthumous project is named after Avicii’s real name, Tim Bergling, and will drop on the 6th of June. However, if you are excited about the release then you are in luck as the album’s first single, “SOS”, will release on the 10th of April.
Thoughtfully, all proceeds from the album will go towards benefitting the Tim Bergling Foundation, which was announced earlier this year by Bergling’s family to raise awareness about mental illness and suicide prevention.
