Specifically, HBO themselves took to their official YouTube account in order to give fans of the show a peak behind the curtain at exactly what goes into creating the beloved program from a visual effects standpoint. Interestingly, the 4-minute video looks at how the program’s iconic dragons were brought to life and how the need for the tech has been ramping up since season 1, saying that a team that was originally looking to create 600-800 shots per season has now become one that creates multiples of that number per episode.
