The iconic British luxury fashion brand that is Burberry has undeniably seen some positive changes take place ever since Riccardo Tisci took the reins of the label as he was ushered in as Creative Director last year.

Well, it looks like another forward-thinking decision has been made, specifically, that the whole company will aim to be plastic free by 2025. As for what these changes will need to be made exactly, in the next six years Burberry’s packaging will either become reusable, recyclable, or compostable, as well as this expect the fashion house to replace all current hangers, shrouds and poly bags with an environmentally-friendly options by the end of this year.

Interestingly, Burberry aren’t stopping there, in fact, they plan to reduce the harm already done via a hanger take-back program that aims to recycle and reuse discarded retail hangers that have already been introduced into circulation.

Well done Burberry.
