After the American singer, songwriter, record producer, and former professional basketball player that is R Kelly came into a whole world of trouble for the allegations against him regarding a number of sexual assaults he had carried out, everyone’s eyes have been firmly fixed on the artist waiting to see what may arise from the investigations against him.
Well, an update was recently provided by TMZ in which the platform state that R. Kelly was officially charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Cook County, Ill, on the 22nd of February. Specifically, three of the charges “referred to a minor between the ages of 13 and 16” said the Chicago Tribune.
From here we will have to wait and see what happens, however with his first court date being on the 8th of March it won’t be long until a decision is reached. Furthermore, with TMZ reporting that the grand jury met roughly a week ago to investigate the alleged sex tape that attorney Michael Avenatti sent to police, it doesn’t look hopeful for the singer, especially since 12 women testified including one who provided physical evidence.
