After Meek Mill announced his upcoming project excitement for it started building immediately, luckily, the album has dropped now and we can see why it was so highly anticipated. In fact, the recent set of cuts has arrived with some heavy-hitting features and plenty of shade being thrown around.
Specifically, Meek Mill’s ‘Championships’ album landed in the early hours today and sees the likes of Rick Ross, JAY-Z, Future, Cardi B, 21 Savage, Young Thug and Drake all make an appearance. Not only that but JAY’s feature includes lines that took aim at Kanye West, Rick Ross’ called out 6ix 9ine and Drake fully squashed the beef between him and the host artist, so, all in all, it was a pretty productive project. As for what these lines were, JAY-Z said: “No red hat, don’t Michael and Prince me and Ye / They separate you when you got Michael and Prince’s DNA / I ain’t one of these house n***as you bought / My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours.” While Rick Ross went in with this: “Screaming ‘gang gang’ now you wanna rap / Racketeering charges caught him on a tap / Lookin’ for a bond lawyers wanna tax / Purple hair got them f****ts on your back”
