Almost everyone who grew up in the late ’90s or early 2000s will have had their childhood revolve around either a Pokemon or Tamagotchi, and if you are one of those people then you are in luck as it looks like your childhood dreams are going to come true as an official Pokemon x Tamagotchi collaboration is on its way.
Specifically, the news was initially leaked by an individual named Serebii who revealed images of the pocket-sized toy that sees two Eevee-themed Tamagotchi Nanos in a brown and pink colourway. Well, since then the news was confirmed by the companies themselves and while doing so they added a little more information.
As for what they said, they explained that the device will allow owners to take care of the adorable Eevee character as it grows into one of its various evolutions, while along the way processes such as cleaning, feeding and playing with the character become vital for its growth, similar to that in the original Tamagotchi toys.
Take a look at the first surfaced images of the toys below, if you like what you see then sit tight as the devices are set to drop on the 26th of January for ¥2,300 JPY (£16) however there is no word as of yet to whether the toys will be made available outside of Japan.
