Tekashi 6ix9ine seems to cause controversy and trouble everywhere he goes causing rap fans across the globe to become polarized on whether the artist is a talent or just a troublemaker. Well, no matter what side you fall on it looks like 6ix9ine has caused a little more trouble than he could handle as it looks like the rapper could be facing life in prison.

Specifically, Brooklyn’s very own was arrested by federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on the 18th of November and charged with racketeering along with five other men, all of which are facing racketeering and firearms charges. From here 6ix9ine as well as his fellow Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods members; Jamel Jones “Mel Murda”, Kifano Jordan “Shottie”, Jensel Butler “Ish”, Fuguan Lovick “Fu Banga” and Faheem Walter “Crippy” were locked up, and yes we are also confused about the blood member called “Crippy” but hey who are we to judge.

TMZ reported that the 18-page indictment shows that 6ix9ine is facing six counts, containing racketeering and firearms charges, with the most serious of the offences being the discharging of a firearm while committing a crime. To put into perspective just how serious these charges are, the punishment for the last offence alone would be a mandatory minimum of 25 years in prison and could potentially carry a life sentence. Furthermore, the previously mentioned indictment alleged that the rapper also took part in a shooting of a bystander in Brooklyn back in July as well as a gunpoint robbery of one of his gang’s rivals.

Now as for what Tekashi’s team are saying, 6ix9ine’s attorney tried to get him released on $1 million bail, however, after the bail was denied after a prosecutor said there was evidence that he directed or participated in multiple acts of gang violence the attorney stated that: “I believe that the charges against him is an over-charge by the U.S. Attorney’s Office and that when the facts come out I am confident that the charges will be dismissed as it relates to Daniel Hernandez Tekashi 6ix9ine.”

However, even if this statement is true the rapper is almost definitely going to be facing some extensive jail time as the arrest came not along after 6ix9ine received four years probation and 1,000 hours of community service for violating the terms of a plea agreement for his 2015 sexual misconduct case.
