The English Grime artist, rapper, songwriter, record producer and music video director, Skepta, has of course been hard at work creating an array of collaborative pieces in conjunction with the clothing conglomerate that is Nike. One of these pieces being the Nike Air Max Deluxe SK collab, and now with official product shots available we can see why the pair were so highly-anticipated.

Specifically, the sneakers see a dark aesthetic adorn the silhouette before “NEVER SLEEP ON TOUR” and “12:05 PM JUNE 08 2014” is layered on top in the classic font commonly recognised as the style seen on VHS tapes. This is, of course, fitting as the upper sports a pattern designed to mimic the white noise found on the old-fashioned media format. As for why the text “12:05 PM JUNE 08 2014” appears, for his third shoe with Nike it seems like the renowned creative wanted to get sentimental as this is actually the exact date and time Skepta released his iconic track “That’s Not Me.”

Sit tight as the Skepta x Nike Air Max Deluxe SK is set to drop on the 8th of September for $190 or approximately £150.
