The infamous footwear company, Crocs, have recently announced that they are selling the last of their manufacturing plants. As for why, the brand has been experiencing a decrease in sales steadily over time with their stock price halving between the year 2014 and 2017, consequently, this has lead to the company closing over 30 stores already this year with plans to close another 130 before the start of 2019.

However, this doesn’t necessarily mean they are going to shut down completely – despite what a few of you may hope – in fact, this is all in an effort to streamline the business so it can carry on in the long run. The main difference now, however, is that they will be focusing their efforts on online sales as well as wholesale rather than trying to sell products on the high street.
