Although being the most sought after streetwear label in the world comes with many benefits it also comes with a few downsides, one of them being the fact that hundreds, if not thousands, of companies will try and counterfeit your products in order to make a quick buck. That is exactly what Supreme have been dealing with for years, and although they were successful earlier this year in winning a counterfeit legal battle in Italy, it appears they aren’t as lucky this time around.

Specifically, Supreme took to the Italian Court in order to open a case against two brands called “Supreme Italia” and “Supreme Spain,” both of which were registered by an organisation called International Brand Firm. In fact, the company had three of their websites which were used to sell clothing with Supreme branding on were seized last month, however, following the court ruling against Supreme these websites have been released. As for how the court justified their decision, they had this to say:  “following the lawfulness regulation, for an action to be a crime it is not sufficient the confusion between the two brands, nor the actual external similarity of the product.”
