The Southbank skatepark is a historic location in the skating community. As for the reason why, the “undercroft” section was ideal for skating in the early ’70s and by time the ’80s rolled around the spot was known throughout London as where the skaters went, its popularity grew and it was effectively crowned the headquarters of skate spots in the UK. However, in recent times the Southbank centre has looked to turn the park into more commercial spaces, filling them with restaurants and shops, although luckily for us ‘Long Live Southbank’ came to the rescue as the organisation fought for and won the right for the park to stay.

Now the organisation looks for donations in hopes to preserve and restore the skatepark to its full glory, this is where Supreme comes in. The skate brand and streetwear giants are known for their down to Earth connections to the skate community and they have displayed that once again by donating £50,000 to the project.
