Anyone who has got into photography will know that cameras can set you back quite a lot if you are looking for the most up to date models, although, if what you are looking for is the most expensive of the lot, that actually came out in 1923.

Recently at the recent Westlicht Camera Auction in Vienna, a Leica O-Series produced in 1923 broke records to become the most expensive camera ever sold. If you are wondering why it’s so expensive it’s not only because the model is one of 25 ever produced, but because these 25 cameras were in fact created as test devices two years before the launch of the first official Leica model and remains to this day in unbelievable condition. If you are wondering just how expensive this camera is, it sold to a private collector in Asia for the small price of €2.4 million, so if you are a camera enthusiast yourself you may have to start saving up now if you ever want to get your hands on it.
