Snapchat threw a rather large New Years Eve party and oddly enough they banned their employees using the company’s own social media platform during it. However, that didn’t stop those who went sharing the experience on other platforms, allowing us to look into the multi-million dollar celebration. As for entertainment Drake and Dj Diplo both took to the stage leaving us to question why would you not want your employees sharing this experience? Interestingly, some have speculated that Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel may have produced the no-Snapchat policy to hide the amount of money spent at the party, as the app hasn’t been doing too well recently in terms of growth, in fact in November it was reported that user growth in the previous three months was far below expectations, with daily active users rising to 178 million in the third quarter from 173 million in the second quarter.
